Queen Marys College, Chennai commenced its voyage in 1914 and today, it has emerged as one of the most admired colleges for women in India. The college holds the distinction of being the first women college to get autonomy in the year 1987. Moreover, it has also received an accreditation of B+ by NAAC of India. The college is affiliated to the University of Madras.
Queen Marys College - Chennai covers various fields of education and offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. courses to its students. The courses are Economics, English, Functional English, History, Music, Sanskrit, Sociology, Tamil, Telugu, Commerce, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Food Science & Nutrition, Home Science, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology and Geography.

Rank Lists are prepared based on the Part-III total (out of 800) secured by the candidate in the HSC examination and will be pasted in the college notice board.
Separate quotas are available for Physically Challenged, Sports (Priority for National Level and State Level), Tamil candidates from Andaman-Nicobar Islands and Ex-Servicemen
Shift I and Shift II admissions will be done on the same day.
Only Women candidates are eligible to apply.
Should have appeared for the Plus Two examinations (HSC) conducted by the TamilNadu State Board or its equivalent and secured a pass in all the subjects.
Should not exceed the age limit of 24 years as on July 1st. (Relaxation of 2 years permitted for the Physically Challenged candidates)
For PG Courses, the candidate should have completed a UG Degree from The University of Madras or any other equivalent Universities.
Queen Marys College is stretched over an area of 365 acres in the capital of Tamil Nadu i.e. Chennai. It features well -furnished, enormously-stacked, computerized Central Library that functions with a modern system of cataloguing. Besides books on different subjects, the library also provides wide range of reading materials including international and national research journals, magazines, general periodicals and dailies.
