All India Institute of Medical Sciences conducts All India Post Graduate Medical/ Dental Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) for seeking admissions under 50% seats quota in various postgraduate courses in medical and dental colleges in the country run by the Union of India, State Governments and Municipal or other local authorities.
Candidates who wish to opt for the post graduate medical courses need to appear this entrance exam. to gain admissions for the post graduate courses in all medical colleges recognized by MCI.
Eligibility to attempt the exam:-
Applicants must be a citizen of India and should have MBBS/ BDS degree from recognized medical / dental colleges in India. Candidates should also complete the required period of 12 months pre-registration internship from a recognized hospital.
AIPGMEE Registration / Application Form
Candidates can apply for AIPMGEE either through online or offline process. Forms will be available on the official website www.aiimsexams.org or you can download the challan from website and pay the cash in State bank of India to get the applications.

AIPGMEE exam will be of 2 Stages. The first stage will be of 50 Multiple Choice Questions and other stage consists of 30 short answer questions based upon clinical/ lab test. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes. Negative marking is applicable for incorrect answers.
Prepare a proper timetable and allot equal time for each section. Start your preparation from basic topics of each section. Collect the study material and previous question papers from various education centre or websites. Read the reference books and gain as much knowledge as you can, it will help you crack the exam. Solve the previous papers.
Exam is held in the month of January.
