Paper Pattern

AMCAT is a multi-dimensional test with the Aptitude (consisting of English, Quantitative Ability and Logical Ability) and AMPI: Aspiring Minds Personality Inventory modules being compulsory and additional skill-specific module which is required for jobs in different sectors. The skill specific modules vary from Computer Programming, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Accounts, Marketing, Human Resources, Financial Services, etc. The candidate can choose the skill modules based on his/her education and/or interest.

There is no negative marking in the test. The test taker is expected to answer all the questions in every module.

AMCAT tests the following modules specifically for MBAs:

    AMCAT English: Written English indispensible for analysts and corporate/institutional profiles.
    AMCAT Logical and Quantitative Ability: A must for business data analysis and data interpretation.
    Excel Skills: Excel is needed today for almost any business role.
    Personality: Our Personality Assessment is India's only personality inventory constructed on a sample of 30,000+ entry-level MBA graduates. It is used by several MNCs and large Indian companies to hire sales, customer service and operations personnel.
    Domain Modules: Modules in Finance, HR, Marketing and Operations to find the exact role fit for you.


AMCAT tests the following modules specifically for Engineers:

    AMCAT English: The most widely used English test in the IT and KPO industry
    AMCAT Logical and Quantitative Ability: Proven to predict trainability and job performance in IT and Engineering Sector.
    Personality: Helpful to uncover skills for profiles of sales engineer and support engineer among other profiles.
    Domain Modules: Modules in Computer Programming, Electronics and Semiconductor, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Telecommunication and many more.


AMCAT tests the following modules specifically for graduates:

    AMCAT English: Written English indispensible for all roles in the knowledge sector, specially MNCs.
    AMCAT Logical and Quantitative Ability: A must for analytic and commercial roles.
    Domain Modules: Modules in Excel, Accounting, Chemistry, Biology, Programming, Pharma and a suite of assessments for the hospitality sector in Front-Office, Housekeeping, Food Production and FnB roles. For those in BBA, AMCAT has modules in Finance, Marketing, HR and Operations.
