Students who have secured first rank in class 12 in state or central board in India are given direct admission to the program of their choice irrespective of their BITSAT score
Eligibility for BITSAT 2014:
Applicants who have passed class 12/(+2) /HSC exam from a recognized state or central board with a minimum aggregate of 75 percent marks and individual aggregate of more than 60 percent marks in subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Maths are eligible to apply for BITSAT 2014. Candidates must be proficient in the english language. Students who have passed class 12 exam in 2012 are eligible not eligible to apply for this exam.

BITSAT 2014 Application form is available online on www.bitsadmission.com. The application form must be filled online and the application fee must be paid.
In case of payment of BITSAT application fee through demand draft the copy of the completed application form affixed with recent passport size photograph and duly signed should be sent to Admissions Office, BITS Pilani, Pilani- 333 031.
The application fee for BITSAT 2014 is Rs 1900 (rupees one thousand nine hundred only) and Rs 1400 (rupees one thousand three hundred only) for women candidates. The deadline for registering for this year's exam is February 15, 2014 (Saturday).

The syllabus for BITSAT 2014 exam is completely based on topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as studied at 10+2 level. Apart from three sections, there will be questions to judge the proficiency in English language. Candidates should work on Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehensions and Compositions to score marks in English.
Physics: - Units & Dimensions, Vectors, Kinematic, Dynamics, Friction, Rotatory Motion and many more
Chemistry: - Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding & Molecular Structure, Stoichiometry, Solid State, Thermodynamics etc.
Mathematics: - Algebra, Trigonometry, Vector, Probability, Calculus and Coordinate Geometry.

The duration of the paper is three hours with four sections i.e. 1) Physics 2) Chemistry 3) English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning and 4) Mathematics. All questions are objective type questions. For each incorrect response, one mark will get deducted.

•Part II- Chemistry: 40 questions.
• Part III a) English Proficiency:15 questions.
b) Logical Reasoning: 10 questions.
•Part IV: Mathematics/Biology: 45 questions.
Since BITSAT is a computer based online test, it is advisable that you make yourself comfortable with computer specially if you are not a computer freak. Before appearing for the exam, try to solve previous year's BITSAT papers as solving papers will make you feel as in the exam hall and help in preventing nervy moments during the actual exam. Try to be in constant constant touch with the basics of each subject. Keep revising what you study and also refer to study material that will aid you in revision.
