Your search for CTET exam information rightly ends here. CTET: Central Teacher Eligibility Test is directed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for teaching aspirants intent on being appointed as teachers in classes I to VIII.
 
According to the RTE act passed by the government, CTET pass is an important qualification for an B.Ed/ teaching aspirant to be eligible for appointment as teacher in any school. This common teacher eligibility test is conducted twice a year in the months of February and September.
 
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi. 
 
CTET 2015 Schools:-
 
•CTET 2015 shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the Administrative Control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and NCT of Delhi.
• Common Teacher Eligibility Test may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
• Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.
 
Eligibility for CTET 2015:-
 
Following is eligibility for CTET 2015:- 
 
Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):
 
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR 
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. 
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
 
Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):
 
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

CTET Registration / Application Form

CTET 2015 Registration / Application Form:
 
Apply online for CTET February 2015 on www.ctet.nic.in.
 
The fee can be remitted in the following ways:
-Through Challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
-By Debit/Credit Card
 
Paper I or II: Rs. 500/- for General/ OBC (Rs. 250/- for reserved category)
Both Papers: Rs. 800/- for General/ OBC (Rs. 400/- for reserved category)
 
CTET 2015 online application procedure:-
The following five steps have to be followed to apply online for CTET 2015
 
Step#01 : Fill in the CTET Application Form
Step#02: Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature.
Step#03: Pay Examination Fee by Challan or debit/credit card
Step#04: Update fee details on CTET website if payment made through Challan of Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.
Step#05: Print Confirmation page for your record and future reference, if required.
 
Specifications for upload of passport sized photograph and signature:-
  • Scanned images of photographs and signature should be in jpg format.
  • Size of the photo image must be greater than 4 kb and less than 100 kb.
  • Size of the signature image must be greater than 1 kb and less than 25 kb.
  • Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) only.
  • Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height) only.
No change will be accepted through offline mode i.e. through fax/application including e-mail etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
 
The Application Form/Confirmation Page (Copy of Challan, if fees paid through Bank 
Challan) SHOULD NOT be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit.

PAPER - II - 09.30 TO 12.00 HOURS - 2.30 HOURS

PAPER - I - 14.00 TO 16.30 HOURS  - 2.30 HOURS

CTET 2015 Admit Card:- 
 
Teaching aspirants can download their CTET 2015 (February) Admit card for the examination from the website. In case of any discrepancies in particulars, photograph or signature mentioned in the admit card or confirmation page you are requested to immediately contact CTET for necessary correction.

Paper Pattern

CTET 2015 Paper Pattern:-

All questions in CTET test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answer.

CTET exam includes two paper:-

(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Paper I & II both will be of one and a half hours which includes 150 multiple choice questions.
