Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is the entrance exams for admission to the various integrated Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses available at the following ten participating Central Universities. Students must qualify in the respective entrance exam to be considered for admission.

Below are the participating universities in CUCET 2014:-

  • Central University of Haryana
  • Central University of Jammu
  • Central University of Jharkhand
  • Central University of  Kashmir
  • Central University of Kerala
  • Central University of Rajasthan
  • Central University of Tamilnadu


Eligibility to attempt the exam:-

Admission to an academic program is subject to applicant’s fulfilling eligibility conditions for various programs as notified in the respective Universities’ websites. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that he/ she fulfills the eligibility criteria for the program he is applying for as notified by the concerned University.
 


CUCET Registration / Application Form

Those wishing to apply for CUCET 2014 exam are required to do so online. Please note that offline applications are not accepted. 
During online application procedure you are required to 
a) fill in details asked in the form carefully without making any mistakes.
b) upload recent passport sized color photograph with preferred dimension of 200x 230 pixels and preferred file size of 1-500 KB. 
c) upload soft copy of signature with preferred dimension 140 x 160 pixels and preferred file size of 1-500 KB.

- set scanner resoultion to 200 dpi
- set color to true color
- file size should be as specified
-Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).

Payment of application fee can be done both online or offline after submission of online application form.
The form can be filled in partially and then completed as early as possible. 
You will receive an SMS or email alert at the successful completion of registration. 
 
Mode of payment for application fee
 
a) Online (Net banking/debit or credit card): After payment, system will generate a registration slip. Take a printout of this registration slip and keep it carefully. 
 
b) Offline (through SBI Bank challan): After making payment of application fee please retain the copy of challan duly received and containing the following transaction details
-Branch Name & Code Number 
-Transaction ID/Journal No & 
-Date of Deposit filled by the Branch Official.

For payment through online/debit/credit card no extra charges are to be paid by the candidates. Hence, students are advised to resolve to online/debit/credit card mode of payment.

  • For Postgraduate & Research Programmes:- 17th & 18th May 2014

 


CUCET Syllabus

CUCET 2014 Syllabus:-

CUCET 2014 test for admission to all Integrated /Undergraduate programmes is  based on the standard expected at 12th Standard. For postgraduate programmes, the subject related questions will be based on undergraduate /degree level syllabus. For research programmes knowledge at post- graduate level and JRF/NET.
 


Paper Pattern

CUCET 2014 Paper Pattern:-

The tests for admission to all other programmes will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in two (or more) sections: -

The first section (35 marks)will deal with language (English) proficiency, general awareness and analytical skills.

The second/remaining section(s) will be based on subject domain. The question papers for admission to language programmes will contain questions requiring objective (MCQs) and/or descriptive (short/long) answers.
 


CUCET Preparation

Cracking CUCET is tough hence start your studies from class 11. Daily practice is required to increase your speed and accuracy. Time management is the key factor to score well in this exam. Prepare thoroughly for mock test. Solve past paper and take proper guidance by joining a good coaching institute.

CUCET 2014 Notification:-

  • Apply online on website http://cucet2014.co.in/ from March 1, 2014 (Saturday)  to April 2, 2014 (Wednesday)

CUCET 2014 Exam Date (Tentative):-

  • For Undergraduate & Integrated Programmes:- 26th & 27th April 2014 (Saturday and Sunday)
  • For Postgraduate & Research Programmes:- 17th & 18th May 2014 (Saturday and Sunday)


Date of Declaration of Result:-

  • For Undergraduate & Integrated Programmes:-   07th May 2014 (Wednesday)
  • For Postgraduate & Research Programmes:- 02nd June 2014 (Monday)
