Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) popularly known as GITAM University Visakhapatnam conducts online GITAM Admission Test (GAT) for admission to undergraduate and post graduate courses of technology and pharmacy at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru campuses. The test is held not only in the state but also across major cities of India. It is also dubbed as one of the most competitive of entrance exams in South India. Based on rank in this exam aspirants are granted admission to GITAM.
• For B.Tech:-
Intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized central /state board or its equivalent with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
• For B.Pharmacy:-
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with subjects of Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry.
First rank holders of central and all state board examinations 2014 equivalent to 10+2 will be granted admission to programme of their choice without appearing for GITAM GAT subject to the fact that they complete the required eligibility criteria for the post.
GITAM GAT Registration / Application Form
GITAM GAT Application Procedure/Registration:-
Applicants can apply in any one of the following methods:
a) Apply online on www.gitam.edu
b) Applications can also be obtained from Director- Admission by sending a request with name, complete postal address and DD of Rs 1100 (Rs 700 in case of female candidates) drawn in favour of GITAM university and payable at Vishakapatnam on any scheduled bank.Request for application will be accepted upto 21 March 2014.
c) Applications are also available throughout India at selected branches of
• Union Bank of India
• Karur Vysya Bank
• Indian Bank
The filled in application form along with demand draft of Rs 1000/- (Rs 600/- in case of female candidates) drawn in favour of GITAM university and payable at Vishakapatnam or any scheduled bank in India must be sent to the following address latest by 31 March 2014.

TAM GAT 2014 Online Test will be conducted across different centers between 17th April and 8th May 2014.
GITAM GAT Syllabus
GAT 2014 Syllabus:- GITAM GAT 2014 Syllabus is based on class 12 as well as graduation level exam in particular stream with its choice of subjects. The course of study for each subject is presented unitwise with major topics and syllabi to be covered under each heading (major topic).
GITAM GAT 2014 Paper Pattern:-
The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections:
Section A - Mathematics / Biology - 40 questions - 120 marks
Section B - Physics - 30 questions - 90 marks
Section C - Chemistry - 30 questions - 90 marks
All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions), each question has four options out of which one is the correct answer. A total of 3 marks will be awarded for each correct answer . 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. There are no marks for unanswered questions.
GITAM GAT Preparation
GITAM GAT preparation involves complete and dedicated study. This can only be possible with a study plan or timetable in place. While preparing a timetable allocate sufficient time for study, revision and solving of question papers.
