IBSAT is a management aptitude test that is held nationwide by ICFAI (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India) University group. It’s a two hours computer based test conducted over 95 test centers across India. Every year, ICFAI group conducts this entrance test to select the best bunches of talent for its post graduate programmes run at its 13 campuses across India. Candidates with a bachelor degree in any stream from any recognized university in India can appear for IBSAT exam. The exam tests candidates’ aptitude in qualitative technique, vocabulary in English, written & verbal skills and logical reasoning.
Eligibility for IBSAT 2014:
TWO YEAR MANAGEMENT PROGRAM:
Graduation with 50 percent marks from recognized university with English as medium of instruction.
Should have a completed a minimum of 15 years of regular education (10+2+3) or (10+2+4)
Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria for English as language of instruction are required to submit TOEFL/ NELT or IELTS score by May 31, 2015.
Applicants in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply. Their admission will remain provisional until they produce marksheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2015.
Eligibility criteria for Two year management program under IBSAT will be checked as on August 2015.
ELIGIBILITY FOR PHD PROGRAM:
Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50 percent marks and with English as a medium of instruction and Post Graduation in Management (full time with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from an UGC approved University) with 60% and above marks A Professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS with 60% and above marks.
Should have completed a minimum of 17 years of regular education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).
Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/ or post graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2015.
Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2015 onwards.
IBSAT Registration / Application Form
For applying IBSAT 2014, candidates have to fill the registration form that is accessible from the official website of IBSAT. Online application for this exam will be accepted from July 15, 2014 (Tuesday) to December 01,2014 (Monday).
Application Forms for IBSAT 2014 can also be purchased from any of IBS Marketing Officies.
Aspirants should download the application form, complete it and send it to the Admissions Officer, IBS HQ Admissions Department, 13/17, Nagarjuna Hills, Punjagutta, Hyderabad – 500082. The application form should be attached with a demand draft of Rs.1000.
IBSAT Bulletin can also be purchased on payment of Rs.1500/- (rupees one thousand five hundred only).
Completely filled IBSAT 2014 application form should be sent by December first week.

IBSAT Application Form
There is no prescribed syllabus for the exam. The exam is conducted to judge the capability of aspirants. Questions will be asked on data interpretation, Logical reasoning and quantitative ability. Aspirants need to work on the language section i.e. English. English section will include grammar, comprehension passages, synonyms, antonyms and many more.
IBSAT 2014 is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.
To crack the exam, one needs to do lot of hard work. But despite of striving a lot, even brilliant students get paused at tricky question. To avoid this, it is advisable that aspirants should try to attempt sample papers and previous years’ papers in order to find the loop hole during preparation.
