Central Board of Secondary Education conducts th Joint Entrance Examination - JEE Main for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc. 
 
The States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland, Odisha & some other institutions have joined JEE (Main) system, however, their admission criteria will be notified by the concerned authorities. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main)–2019  application form online.
 
Eligibility for appearing in JEE (Main) 2019:-
 
Date of Birth -
 
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1993 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD candidates who are born on or after October 01, 1988 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will only be considered.
 
Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE) -
 
Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2017 or 2018; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in JEE(Main)- 2019. Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2015 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2019 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) –2019. Candidates who appeared in class 12th/equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2015, did not pass in 2015, but passed in 2016 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2019.
 
Number of Attempts - The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) shall be limited to 03 (three).

Paper Pattern

JEE Main 2019 Pattern:-

 
Computer Based Examination -
 
The test will be of 3 hrs duration

The test paper will be consisting questions of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and all questions will have equal weightage. 
 
There will be three parts in the question paper consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematicshaving equal weightage.
 
Each question is allotted 4 (four) marks for the correct response. ¼ (one fourth) marks i.e. one mark will be deducted for indicating incorrect response of each question. No deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated for a question. 
 
PEN AND PAPER BASED EXAMINATION FOR PAPER-1 (B. E./B. TECH.) AND PAPER-2 (B. ARCH./B. PLANNING.)

Getting admission in NITs and IIT's in India is still a dream for many students. But, securing admission to one of these is not as easy as said. JEE MAIN 2019 is termed as the second toughest entrance exam in India. JEE Main preparation requires loads of hardwork and dedication.
 
But, it is essential to focus hard work in the relevant direction. Stick to basic law of physics. Concentrate on each topic. Revise as much as you can. Go with only approved study materials, as such, prefer only NCERT textbooks. Practice plenty of sums in order to solve problems faster.

sir! I have paseed 12th in 2013 and want to give iit jee mains 2014 .Will i have to reappear in the board exam or my this year's marks will be used as their is a rule of 40 percent marks of 12th will be used in jee mans result.please answer my confusion?
