Central Board of Secondary Education conducts th Joint Entrance Examination - JEE Main for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc. 
The States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland, Odisha & some other institutions have joined JEE (Main) system, however, their admission criteria will be notified by the concerned authorities. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main)–2018  application form online.
Changes in the JEE pattern for 2018:-
There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination,
For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

Step 1: Fill the Online Application Form, choose your Password and note down system generated Application Number.
Step 2: Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature : 
The scanned images of photograph and Signature should be in jpg/jpeg format only.
Size of the photo image must be greater than 4 kb and less than 40 kb.
Size of the signature image must be greater than 1 kb and less than 30 kb.
Dimension of photograph image should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (Height) only.
Dimension of signature image should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (Height) only.
Step 3: Pay Examination Fee by debit/credit card or e-Challan of Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank

(In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit cards, the candidate will need to pay an additional processing charge as following
Credit Card: 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable.
Debit Card: 0.75% + taxes for examination fee up to Rs. 2000 and 1% + taxes for examination fee more than Rs. 2000.

Paper Pattern

JEE Main 2018 Pattern:-

JEE (Main) 2018 shall have two papers, Paper-1 (B.E. / B. Tech.) and Paper-2 (B. Arch./ B.Planning). Depending upon on the course (s) candidates are seeking admission, may take Paper-1 B.E. / B. Tech.), or Paper-2 B. Arch./ B. Planning), or both. Subject combination for each paper, type of questions in each paper and mode of examination.

Type of Questions:- Objective type with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

Getting admission in NITs and IIT's in India is still a dream for many students. But, securing admission to one of these is not as easy as said. JEE MAIN 2018 is termed as the second toughest entrance exam in India. JEE Main preparation requires loads of hardwork and dedication.

sir! I have paseed 12th in 2013 and want to give iit jee mains 2014 .Will i have to reappear in the board exam or my this year's marks will be used as their is a rule of 40 percent marks of 12th will be used in jee mans result.please answer my confusion?
