JEE Main: Joint Entrance Examination Main directed both in paper-pen and computer based format is a national common entrance assesment for admission to various engineering courses of study. Conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) JEE Main 2015 consists of two papers namely
Paper 1- (B.E/ B.tech)- Objective in nature, this paper gives equal importance to subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Paper 2 (B.Arch/ B. Planning) - Objective in nature, Paper 2 tests the drawing aptitude of JEE main (B.Arch/ B. Planning) aspirants.
JEE Main 2015 test score is accepted for B.E/B.Tech and B.Arch/ B. Planning courses in NITs, IIT's and other centrally funded technical institutions. Since 2013, CBSE has conducted JEE Main.
Engineering aspirants who clear IIT-JEE Main entrance exam earn an eligibility to appear for IIT-JEE Advanced Exam 2015 which is used for admission to IIT. As per the rule, an aspirant can appear for a maximum of three times for this engineering entrance test.
Admission to undergraduate engineering programs in NIT's ,IIIT's, CFI, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions will depend on performance of both class 12 examination and JEE Main test score. As such, if you intend to appear for JEE Main exam give equal importance to both your class 12 examination and JEE Main preparation.
The states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Nagaland and Orissa have also accepted the JEE Main (System). As such students who wish to seek admission to institutions in these states are also required to fill the JEE Main 2015 Online Application Form.
Eligibility for JEE Main 2016:-
• General category students born on or after October 01, 1990.
• Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disabilities (PwD) students born on or after October 01, 1985.
Note that date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will only be considered as final.
Year of appearance in Class 12 (Qualifying Examination):-
01. Only those students who have passed their Class 12 exam or equivalent qualifying examination in 2013 or 2014 or those who are appearing for their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2015 are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2015.
02. Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2012 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2016 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2015.
03. Candidates who appeared in class 12th/equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2012, did not pass in 2012, but passed in 2013 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2015.

The number of attempts to appear for JEE Main Exam is three.
Number of Attempts and Age Limit for states of Maharashtra and Odisha:-
Since the states of Maharashtra and Odisha joined JEE (Main) system from 2014. The age limit for admission to institutions in these states which were earlier admitting candidates based on their state level examinations, will be as per their past practice only. Any change in the same will be duly informed and updated.

JEE Main 2016 Pattern:-
JEE (Main) 2016 shall have two papers, Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) and Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning). You may appear for Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.), or Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.), or both as per the course(s) you wish to seek admission.
Paper 1 (B.E./ B. Tech):-
Subjects:- Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
Type of Questions:- Objective type with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
Mode of Exam:- Pen and Paper based OR Computer based
Duration:- 3 Hours
Paper 2 (B.Arch./ B.Planning):-
Mathematics – Part I - Objective type
Aptitude Test – Part II & - Objective type
Drawing Test – Part III - Questions to test drawing aptitude
Mode of Exam:- Only Pen and Paper based.
Duration:- 3 Hours

Getting admission in NITs and IIT's in India is still a dream for many students. But, securing admission to one of these is not as easy as said. JEE MAIN 2015 is termed as the second toughest entrance exam in India. JEE Main 2015 preparation requires loads of hardwork and dedication.
But, it is essential to focus hard work in the relevant direction. Stick to basic law of physics. Concentrate on each topic. Revise as much as you can. Go with only approved study materials, as such, prefer only NCERT textbooks. Practice plenty of sums in order to solve problems faster.
