Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BPEE) in Jammu and Kashmir State conducts Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) by an Act of the State Legislative for the selection of candidates for admission to various professional courses. Both the Government aided and private institutions in the state accept the merit ranking of CET.
JKCET is conducted for the following degree course programmes:-
• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
• Bachelor of Agriculture (B. Sc Agriculture)
• B. Sc Forestry
• Bachelor of Medical MBBS, BVSC, Animal Husbandry, BUMS and BAMS courses
• Bachelor of Dental BDS
JKCET 2016 Eligibility:-
1.The Applicant must:
a. be a permanent resident of J&K State as defined in Secti on 6 of the Constitution of J&K;
b.have passed higher secondary Part-II (12th/10+2 class) or an equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board with atleast
i. English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as his/her subjects for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, Physiotherapy and Diploma in Dental hygiene;or
ii. English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as his/her subjects for admission to Bachelor of Engineering Courses.
c.have obtained at 10+2 level not less than 50% marks in case of open merit candidate and not less than 40% marks, in case of Reserved Category candidates.
2. The candidates, appearing or who have appeared in 12th Class Examination of any recognized Board but whose result has not been declared yet, are also eligible to appear in the CET.
However, they will not be considered for selection if they fail to produce original Marks Card of their 12th class examination at the time of counselling and have secured marks as mentioned above in clause 1 (c) above.
The candidates must be 17 years old on or before 31st of December 2015 for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and Diploma in Dental hygiene courses.

The payment of rupees 1000 (Rupees one thousand only) as fee is to be made also online through the HDFC integrated Payment Gateway which can be used to make payment with any national Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or by downloading online generated Bank Challan of J&K Bank/HDFC Bank for depositing the fee amount, in any branch of J&K Bank or HDFC Bank, directly in the BOPEE Account.

JKCET 2016 Pattern:-
CET shall consist of two (2) papers each of PCB and PCM groups. Paper A shall consist of Physics and Chemistry with 120 questions (60 questions from each subject). Paper B shall be Biology with 60 questions and paper C shall be Mathematics with 60 questions. The questions shall be multiple choice objective type with one mark each. There will be 0.20 negative marks for each wrong answer.
