MPSC PSI- Maharashtra Public Service Commission Police Sub-Inspector exam is a paper-pen based exam directed for recruitment of PCI in Maharashtra Police. PCI aspirants aged between 19 and 28 years of age who have completed graduation (bachelors) or possess an equivalent qualification with knowledge of marathi are eligible to apply for MPSC PSI Exam 2017. MPSC recruits vacancies of Sub Inspectors in Maharashtra Police based on written test, physical efficiency test and interview. 
 
Aspirants need to clear each stage of the MPSC Police Sub Inspector Exam to be eligible for the next stage and final selection. 
• Aspirants who clear the MPSC PSI (Preliminary exam) will be eligible to appear for MPSC PSI (Main exam). 
• Aspirants who clear the MPSC PSI (Main exam) will be eligible to appear for physical test. 
 
MPSC PSI exam is not conducted every year but as and when there is a requirement of constable vacancies in Maharashtra Police. 
 
Eligibility for MPSC PSI Exam 2017:-  
 
Educational Qualification:-
• Graduation or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
• Knowledge of Marathi is essential.
 
Physical Standard:-
 
For Male:-
Height: - 165 cms (minimum)
Chest:-
Unexpanded: - 79 cms
Expanded: - 84 cms
 
For Female:-
Height: - 157 cms (minimum)

MPSC PSI Exam 2017 Registration and Application Procedure:-
 
•Apply online for MPSC PSI Exam 2017 on www.mahaonline.gov.in 
•As part of MPSC PSI Exam 2017 Registration you need to first register online on website.
•On registration you will receive your USER ID which will help you to fill your MPSC Online Application Form
• Application for this exam is to be paid through e-challan in any of the branches of the State Bank of India (SBI). 
• You need not send your completed MPSC PSI Exam online form to MPSC.

MPSC PSI Main Exam Pattern- 
Candidate who clears the preliminary exam will be selected to appear for main exam.
 
Total Questions - 200
Paper I: - Duration - 1 hour
 
Marathi - 60 marks - 60 Qs (12 level questions) 
&
English - 40 marks - 40 Qs (graduate level questions)
 
Paper II: - Duration - 1 hour
 
General Knowledge, Mental Ability & Subect Knowledge - 100 marks - 100 Qs (graduate level questions)
 
Language of Question Paper - Marathi & English
 
Physical Test:-
Those who qualify the main exam with merit test score will be allowed to appear for the physical test.
 
For Men- 
Iron Ball Throwing - 7.260 kg - 15 marks
Pull ups (8) - 20 marks
Long Jump - 15 marks
Race 800 meters - 50 marks
 
For Women - 
Iron Ball Throwing - 4 kg - 20 marks
Race 000 meters - 40 marks 
Brisk Walking - 3 km - 40 marks
