Maharashtra BEd CET

State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL) Government of Maharashtra conduct the MAH BEd CET for the admission to the First Year of the Two Year Full Time Professional Degree Course in Education leading to B.Ed.(Regular /Special) Degree.
 
The admissions to the following institutes will be done by the Competent Authority, provided they are approved and recognized by Government of Maharashtra and are Affiliated to any of the Non-agricultural University in the State of Maharashtra State :
 
1. The Government College of Education offering B.Ed. Course,
2. All Government Aided Colleges (including Aided Minority Institutions) offering B.Ed. Course,
3. All University Managed Institutes offering B.Ed. Course,
4. All Un-aided colleges (including Minority Institutions) offering B.Ed. Course, covered as per the Act.
 
Eligibility for Appearing to MAH BEd CET 2018:-
 
Educational Qualification for Maharashtra State Candidature:-
 
The Candidate Should be an Indian National and should have passed Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with subjects studied as Special/Optional level- Sciences and Mathematics /Social Sciences= (History /Geography / Economics / Political Sciences / Psychology / Philosophy / Education / Library) / Humanity Sciences= (All Languages and Literature) / Commerce and secured Minimum 50% *marks (Minimum 45%* marks in case of Backward Class categories belonging to the State of Maharashtra )
 
OR
 
(ii) The Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with subjects in Engineering and Technology / (with Science and Mathematics as a special subjects) / Bachelor’s Degree with the subjects: Management / Engineering / Computers / Law / Information -Technology / Agriculture / BBI / Medical Sciences / All Social Sciences / Fine Art / Performing Art (Music / Dance / Drama etc.) and secured minimum 55% *marks (Minimum 50% *marks in case of Backward Class categories belonging to the State of Maharashtra).
 
OR
 
The Candidate should have passed Bachelor’s Degree recognized as an equivalent degree by the Government of Maharashtra, to the Bachelor’s Degree and / or Master’s Degree in subjects mentioned in (i) and (ii) above.
 
OR
 
The candidate should have passed any Bachelor’s Degree given by Open University Incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature.
 OR
The candidate should be appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. (Candidates are advised to refer to Subject Specialization Table given in the Information Brochure)
 
Educational Qualification for Outside Maharashtra State Candidates (All India Candidature and J&K Migrant Candidates:-
 
The Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed any Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate degree awarded by any of the Universities in corporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC Act,1956 of Minimum 3 years duration of Any Discipline recognized by the Association of the Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent Qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India/NCTE with Minimum 55% Marks for all Categories.
 
Provision for Appearing/Appeared Candidates:-
 
Further provided that, the Candidates who are Appearing/ have Appeared for the Qualifying Examination(Under Graduate/Post Graduate) of the Academic Year 2017-2018 are also eligible to apply for MAH-B.Ed. CET- 2018, for On Line Registration and Confirmation of application form for MAH- B.Ed. Course CET 2018. Such candidates will be eligible for Admission only if they produce the provisional/Degree Certificate of the Qualifying Examination and Mark Lists of all parts of the Qualifying Examination at the time of Admission. 
 
English Language Content Test:(ELCT) Candidates desirous of seeking admission in the English Medium Colleges will have to appear for ELCT along with MAH.-B.Ed. CET 2018 and give option for ELCT while filling in the on line Application form. No request for this after the form has been submitted on Line will be entertained.

Examination Fees for CET:-
 
CET Fee For Open Category candidates from Maharashtra State, Out Side Maharashtra State (OMS)/All India Candidates belonging to all Categories, and J&K Migrant Candidates - Rs 800/-
 
CET Fee-For Candidates belonging to Backward Class Categories (SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT (A), NT-1 (B), NT-2(C), NT-3(D), OBC and SBC categories ) belonging to Maharashtra State only having valid Caste Certificate and having valid Non-creamy Layer Certificate valid up to March 2019 for DT-VJ, NT1, 2,3,OBC & SBC Candidates -  Rs. 400/-
 
The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro). Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallet.
 
Before Applying On Line, Candidate should scan (digital) image of his/her recent photograph and signature as per the specifications detailed below:
 
PHOTOGRAPH IMAGE:
 
Photograph must be a recent, passport size, color picture.
The picture should be in color, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white background.
Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.
If you have to use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye".
If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
Photographs taken wearing Caps, Hats and Dark Glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face. Your face should be clearly visible.
Dimension 200 x 230 pixels is preferred.
Size of Photo file should be between 20kb-50kb.
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50KB. If the size of the file is more than 50KB, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, No. of colours etc. during the process of scanning.
Candidate should also ensure that Photo is uploaded at the place of Photo and Signature at the place of Signature. If the photo is not uploaded at the place of Photo Admission for
Examination will be rejected/denied. Candidate him/herself will be responsible for the same.
Candidate must ensure that Photo to be uploaded is of required size and the face should be clearly visible.
 
SIGNATURE IMAGE:-
 
The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
The signature will be used to put on the Hall Ticket and wherever necessary.
The applicant's signature obtained on the call letter and attendance sheet at the time of the examination should exactly match with the uploaded signature. In case of mismatch of signature, the applicant may be disqualified.
Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels is preferred.
Size of file should be between 10kb-20kb.
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB.
Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.
Candidates should ensure that the signature uploaded is clearly visible.

Maharashtra BEd CET 2018 Syllabus:-

Mental Ability (40%) The content of this test aims to judge your reasoning power It also helps to judge how accurate you can think. This test will contain questions based on Series, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Relationship, Analogies, Classification, Problems on Dice, etc., either in Verbal or Non-Verbal form.

 
General Knowledge (30%): The aim of this section is to test how well you are acquainted with the happenings in the surroundings at Local, National, International Level including Past Events, Current Affairs including, Science and Technology, History, Geography, Civics, Political Science and Literature in General.
 
Teacher Aptitude (30%): The Test aims to know your capacity to become teacher. It will contain questionsrelated to your keenness to update your knowledge, leadership qualities awareness about changes in Education and Society, Communication and Professional Commitment etc.
