Hotel Management is considered as one of the blooming professions in the country. The field is known for generating big revenues in the Indian economy as many of the foreign hospitality industries have successfully established their foot in the country in past 8 – 10 years. The shortage of acute trained manpower and keeping in mind the shifting scenario, a wide range of hotel management institutes has been developed in India, known for offering quality training in hospitality management. Similar to every field such as Engineering, Medical and Pharmacy; Hotel management too has entrance exam i.e. NCHMCT-JEE. The exam is conducted as a prerequisite admission to 51 hotel management institutes (including 20 IHMs) affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).
Every year, in the month of April, the council holds the examination to judge the comprehensive understanding of aspirants’ abilities in service sector, communication skills and logical reasoning.
NCHMCT JEE 2017 Eligibility:-
A pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2017 on provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or latest by 30-09-2017.
The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of counselling/admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, his/her admission will stand cancelled.
QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS FOR INDIAN STUDENTS
Plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.
Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in a foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education.
H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects.
Age Limit as on 01 July 2017:-
For candidates from General and OBC categories, upper age limit is 22 years as on 01.07.2017. Candidates born on or after July 01, 1995 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, upper age limit is 25 years as on 01.07.2017. That is SC/ST candidates born on or after July 01, 1992 are eligible. Upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be reckoned as per the category he/she belongs to i.e. General/SC/ST/OBC. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate shall be the authentic proof that will be accepted. At the time of counselling, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for counselling/admission.

Upload Photograph - Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture. Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white background, and has no harsh shadows. If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen. Also, ensure that both ears are visible in the picture. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face. The image should only be in .jpg or .jpeg format. Size of file should be not be more than 50 kb.
Upload Signature - Sign on white paper with Black ink pen and scan it. Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page and ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50 kb. Please note that this signature would appear on the Admit Card, and if it does not match the signature on the answer sheet at the time of the written test and at the time of Interview, the candidature will be cancelled. The image should only be in .jpg or .jpeg format. Size of file should not be more than 50 kb

In case payment option selected is Debit/Credit Card and photographs and signatures uploaded, candidates need not to send the printout of the Online Application Form, however they are advised to keep the copy of the application form for future references.
Payment through Demand Draft: In case payment option selected is demand draft follow the procedure given below:
Make demand draft in favour of “'NCHMCT” payable at Noida/Delhi of applicable application fee (Rs 800/- for General/OBC categories and Rs 400 for SC/ST/PWD categories).The details of the Demand Draft are to be filled in the online application form. Candidates are advised to check the following details carefully before sending the demand draft
DD made in favour of “ NCHMCT” , Amount of Demand Draft as applicable i.e.Rs 800/-in case of GEN/OBC categories and Rs 400/-in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates
Signature of the issuing authority on the demand draft. Candidates applying through Demand Draft are required to send the printout of the Application Form, duly completed in all respect, along with Demand Draft on the following address so as to reach on or before 11 April 2016.

NCHMCT JEE Syllabus
NCHMCT JEE 2017 Syllabus:-
Question paper will be available in both English as well as Hindi. There is no prescribed syllabus for the exam. The exam is conducted to judge the capability of the aspirants. Questions will be asked on the basics of hospitality service, Logical reasoning and general awareness. Aspirants need to work on the language sector i.e. English. English section will include grammar, comprehension passages, synonyms, antonyms and many more.
NCHMCT JEE 2017 Pattern:-
Question Paper will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi (except for English Language)
Each correct answer under Numerical Ability & Scientific Aptitude, Reasoning & Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs and English Language components carry one mark. For any wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted. Graded mark(s) will be awarded under Aptitude for Service Sector component i.e. 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 & 1.00. The most appropriate answer carries one mark.
