Punjab University CET

Panjab University, Chandigarh conducts PU CET UG for Admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) (Choice Based Credit System) and B. Pharmacy at P.U. Campus.
 
PU CET UG 2018 Eligibility:-
 
1. All those candidates who have passed/appeared (up to the Academic Session 2015-or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council shall be eligible to appear in the PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test – 2018. The admission of candidates for the PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test shall be provisional. It shall stand cancelled, if they fail to satisfy the requisite eligibility conditions as required by the concerned institution(s)/University by the date fixed for the purpose. 
 
2. The candidates having compartment in 10+2 examination held in March-2018 will not be eligible for admission in the course. The candidates who do not appear in PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test or who do not qualify PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test shall not be considered for admission. 
 
Course - Eligibility - 
 
B.Pharm - 50% Marks in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and one of the following subject: Biology/Biotechnology/ Mathematics.
 
B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany/ Zoology - Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
 
B.Sc. (Hons.) Anthropology / Chemistry / Geology / Physics / Physics (Specialisation in Electronics) - Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology
 
B.Sc. (Hons.) Biochemistry / Microbiology - Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology
 
B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology / Biophysics - Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science
 
B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics - Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

STEPS TO FOLLOW:-
 
 
Read Prospectus carefully.
 
Register Online.
 
Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also).
 
Take print out of bank slip (bank slip can also be downloaded from account using login id and password).
 
Deposit fee using website generated bank slip at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of bank slip. [last date for submission of fee in any SBI branch.
 
Login again after 24 Hrs. of depositing fee and upload scanned passport size photograph, signature, fill other important information and Save and Confirm. (Once you confirm the form, you will not be allowed to change information in the form).
 
Download your Admit Card.

Punjab University CET Syllabus

Panjab University CET UG 2018 Syllabus:- The syllabi of Entrance Test is as per the CBSE Syllabi for 10+1 and 10+2 for the session 2016-18.

 

Paper Pattern

Panjab University CET UG 2018 Pattern:-
 

The Test will be conducted in the subjects of (i) Physics, (ii) Chemistry (iii) Biology (iv) Mathematics. 
 
 
Subject- Number of Questions - Total Marks - Duration
 
 
Paper-I Mathematics - 60 Qs - 120 marks - 70 minutes
 
Paper-II Chemistry -60 Qs - 120 marks - 70 minutes
 
Paper-III Physics -60 Qs - 120 marks - 70 minutes
 
Paper-IV Biology- 60 Qs - 120 marks - 70 minutes
 
 
For every wrong answer, 25% marks allotted to the question will be deducted.
 
The medium of examination shall be ENGLISH only.
