Here is a point by point IGNOU Admission 2015 information guide for various courses:
Management Course: Admission are announced twice a year in March/April and September/October. Entrance Exam is held on the first Sunday of February and August.
Graduate courses: Admission to Graduate courses are announced in May/June for July Session.
B. Ed Admission: Admission is done through a national entrance test which is conducted in the first week of August. Advertisements for the same are published in April/May.
Bachelors Preparatory Program and certificate courses: Admission continues all year round. Application forms for July session can be submitted between 01st December and 31st May. Application forms for January session can be submitted between 01st June and 30th November.
Doctoral Programs: For January session admission forms are accepted between 01 April and 30 September. For the July session admission is expected between 01st October and 31st March.
For all other programs: Admission forms are issued in May/June. The last date for submission of filled in application forms is 15th September. The academic session starts on 01st January.
How to Apply for IGNOU Courses?
You can apply online for IGNOU courses on www.admission.ignou.ac.in. The application form for various courses are also available at various regional centers of IGNOU.
Those wishing to seek admission to IGNOU online can do so through any one of the following modes.
a) Credit card: This mode include online application to various programmes of IGNOU by making payment of application fee through credit card. After submission of online application the applicant is required to take a printout of the application form and submit the same to the concerned regional centre alongwith the attested copies of testimonials to fulfill the eligibility criteria for admission.
b) Cash challan: This mode involves payment of application fee through bank challan. The programme can be deposited in cash
alongwith bank charges of Rs 6/- at any Axis bank branch or without any charges (free) at Punjab National Bank across the country. If the student opts for payment through cash. The bank challan can be downloaded from website. On payment of application fee the bank retains one copy of the challan and returns two copies back.After doing so the applicant would be required to fill particulars in the online admission application form and submit the same. The completed application form affixed with passport sized photograph and signed should be sent along with one copy of the challan to the concerned regional center.
c) Bank draft: An applicant can also make payment of application fee through demand draft. After doing so the applicant would be
required to fill particulars in the online admission application form and submit the same. The demand draft can be made from Punjab National Bank Limited on payment of Rs 10/- as draft charges. On submitting the online application form, a control number will appear on the screen which is required for future references.The completed application form affixed with passport sized photograph and signed should be sent along with one copy of the challan to the concerned regional center.

•Printout of the submitted online application form with autogenerated number application attached with two passport sized photographs and duly signed.
• Proof of payment of fee (Challan/bank draft). Proof of fee payment is not required when payment is made through credit card.
