B.J. Medical College is a medical college that was formerly established as Ahmedabad Medical School in 1871. Later in 1879, the school was renamed as B.J. Medical School (BJMC). The college is considered as one of the biggest medical institutes in India. It is affiliated with the Gujarat University.

Being an esteemed medical institute in India, the college attracts wider students from all across the globe for its varied courses in health sciences. The college is known for under graduate degree of MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). MBBS is five years full time program, which also includes internship course in last six months. It also offers four years full time program in Bachelor of Dental Surgery. B.J.M.C also stresses on Doctor of Medicine in different disciplines such as Anesthesia, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Dermatology.
