KRIVA offers M.Arch programmes with specialization of Urban Design and Urban Conservation. Both these courses are affiliated to the University of Mumbai and are approved by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi. The institute has an intake of 40 seats (20 seats for Urban Design and 20 seats for Urban Conservation). KRIVA's degree in urban planning focusses on municipal planning, landscape planning, industrial planning, infrastructure and environmental planning while urban conservation degree focusses on providing specialized knowledge in urban conservation along with the skills required for professional practise.

All the students aspiring to take admission needs to have: 1.Passed with minimum 50% marks in open category and 45% in case of backward class category in B.Arch examination from any recognized university and approved by COA. OR 2.Passed with minimum 50% marks in open category and 45% in case of backward class category in diploma "Dip in Architecture" from any Technical Board of State Govts and approved by COA. OR 3.Passed with minimum 50% marks in open category and 45% in case of backward class category in IIA Exam - approved by COA.
