The Army Institute of Management, previously National Institute of Management Calcutta (NIMC) is a graduate business school located in Kolkata, India. It was established in the year 1997 by the Indian Army under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi. It is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology and is accredited with A.I.C.T.E. (Govt. of India)
The institute offers a two-year full-time MBA program leading to a post graduation degree in MBA. Each year is split into two terms. The batch strength of the course is 120.
Admissions:
Admission to AIM is through Common Admission Test (CAT) followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) held at AIM, Kolkata.
Eligibility :-
The minimum qualification for admission to MBA programme is at least 3-years' Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from any university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with 50% marks. Candidates who are appearing in their final exam of Bachelor's degree and who would be completing all requirements for the Bachelor's Degree by 30th June of the year of admission, may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally and will be required to produce evidence to establish their eligibility by 15th September of their year of admission, failing which they will be dropped from the programme.
Facilities:
The Army Institute of Management is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The campus has well-equipped computer lab, all equipped with the latest technology. All the classrooms of the institute are well furnished with all modern facilities such as air conditioners and mounted LCD projectors. The institute also offers separate hostel facility for boys and girls.
