"To put things in perspective" IBPS exam 2020 conducted for the posts of Probationary Officer and Clerk is a window for aspirants wanting to enter into a career in banking in India. The growth and development of banking internationally has lead to a number of employment opportunities in the Indian banking sector.
To improve its position internationally the Indian banking community relies on the recruitment of skilled personnel. This recruitment of skilled personnel is facilitated by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services Exam. Presently IBPS exam is accepted by as many as 22 nationalized banks and an equal number of regional and rural banks for the recruitment of personnel. This autonomous agency accepts exam applications from aspirants for its all India Common Written Exam (CWE).
This independent board conducts exams for following cadres namely,
A)CWE PO/MT for the post of Probationary Officer and Management Trainee
B)CWE Clerk for clerical posts (clerk vacancies)
C)CWE for Specialist Officers (officers for specialist officers)
D)RRB Officer (for selection of officers and officiers in regional/rural banks) governed by NABARD.
While the exams were conducted once every six months they are no longer done so as per the latest notification. Exams for the post of Clerk and Probationary Officer are conducted once a year.
Eligibility for IBPS 2017 Exam
CWE PO/MT for the post of Probationary Officer and Management Trainee
•Age: 20-28 years of age
•Educational Qualification:Degree (Graduation) with minimum 60 % (55% for SC/ST)
CWE Clerk for clerical posts (clerk vacancies)
•Age: 20-28 years of age

•Age for Scale I posts: 20-30 years
•Age for Scale II posts: 20-35 years

RRB Officer (for selection of officers and officiers in regional/rural banks)
•Age for Officer Scale I: 18-28 years of age.
•Age for Officer Scale II: 21-32 years of age.
•Age for Officer Scale III:21-40 years of age.
•Educational Qualification: Graduation or post graduation in relevant stream from recognized university with minimum 60 % (55% for SC/ST)

IBPS Syllabus
There is no set syllabus for the exam but questions will be asked from common subjects such as General Awareness, Numerical Ability and Logical Reasoning. The test will also include Basic English i.e. reading comprehension, verbal ability and verbal reasoning.

Paper Pattern
CWE for IBPS consist of objective type questions, where candidate has to select the correct answer of four options. There will be total 200 questions with a total duration of 2 hrs. For each wrong answer, 1/4th will be deducted from the marks allotted to the question.
IBPS Preparation
There is no other option than ‘Practice’ because Practice makes you perfect. Although, IBPS is not too hard, practicing several hours of previous years papers will be of great help for you. In order to score more marks, get your basics clear. This defintely goes with English section. Make sure you don’t make grammatical errors. Get comfortable with computer in order to avoid nervy moments, since many of us are more comfortable with paper based examination.
