JAIIB Exam (Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF). It is open only to ordinary members of the institute (Any one employed in the banking and finance industry can submit an application to the Institute for membership). Single membership is obtainable on a life membership basis. The Membership Form is available on the website.

 

This examination will be conducted on Sunday twice a year in May/June and November/December. The list of examination centers for JAIIB 2019 will be provided in the JAIIB online application form. 
 
Eligibility for JAIIB 2019: 
 
(i) The examination is open only to the ordinary members of the Institute (Any person working in the banking and finance industry whose employer is an Institutional member of the Institute can apply for membership, for details visit IIBF website).
 
(ii) Candidates must have passed the matriculation examination or its equivalent. The Institute may, however at its discretion, allow any candidate from clerical or supervisory staff cadre of banks to appear at the examination on the recommendation of the Manager of the bank / officer-in-charge of the bank’s office where the candidate is working, even if he / she is not a matriculate or its equivalent.
 
(iii) Subordinate staff of recognized Banking / Financial Institutions in India, who are members of the Institute, are eligible to appear at the examination, provided they have passed the matriculation examination or its equivalent.
 
(iv) New members are advised of the examination for which they are eligible to appear while intimating their respective membership numbers.

 

JAIIB Registration / Application Form

 
Individuals wishing to apply for JAIIB 2019 are required to apply online on www.iibf.org.in. You are required to login with your personal membership number and password. In the JAIIB online application you are required to fill details like mode, medium, centre for the exam as also the place of work etc. Check the data and information carefully before submission of JAIIB Application Form .You are also required to make payment of application/registration fee. JAIIB 2019 application fee can be paid either through credit/debit card or net banking facility. Please follow the instructions carefully.

Paper Pattern

JAIIB 2019 Paper Pattern: 

Candidates are allowed to attempt the examination either in Hindi or English.
 
Duration - 2 hours
 
Mode - Online 
 
Question Paper will contain approximately 120 objective type multiple choice questions for 100 marks including questions based on case studies / case lets. The Institute may however vary the number of questions to be asked for a subject.
 
There will NOT be negative marking for wrong answers.
 
SUBJECTS OF EXAMINATION:-
 
(1) Principles & Practices of Banking
(2) Accounting & Finance for Bankers
(3) Legal & Regulatory Aspects of Banking
 
There is no exemption in any of the subject/s for prior qualification/s.
 
PASSING CRITERIA:-
 
1. Minimum marks for pass in the subject is 50 out of 100.
 
2. Candidates securing at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects of examination in a single attempt will also be declared as having completed the Examination.

 

JAIIB Preparation

Candidates are advised to go through the past question papers and reference books for cracking the JAIIB exam. You need to develop your problem solving skills and get thorough with the basic concepts. Get the proper knowledge of cracking this exam from the one who has already cleared the exam. He will be the best mentor for you. Be cool and calm and avoid much stress.
