Master’s degree in Science or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology and fulfilling one of the following additional requirements:
Valid GATE score
CSIR / UGC / NBHM / DBT award
minimum of 2 years of professional work experience
Admission is offered on the basis of an interview held usually a month before the commencement of the semester for which admission is sought. The interview may be supplemented by a written test, if necessary.
Delhi University PhD in Computer Science:-
Master’s / M.Phil. degree of the University of Delhi, or any other recognized University, or any degree recognized as equivalent in the subject in which the candidate wishes to pursue a course of research, or in an allied subject. She / he must have obtained either a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grading in the M.Phil. degree or a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grading in the Master’s degree .
Admission to the Ph.D. programme consists of two-step screening process: Entrance Test/GATE (98 percentile or higher)/NET followed by interview.
Entrance Exam consists of two parts:
Part I : Objective Type
Part II : Subjective (Part II shall be evaluated only for candidates securing at least 40% in Part I)

BITS Pilani PhD in Computer Science:-
Any Higher Degree of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination. Any applicant with qualification equivalent to Integrated first degree of BITS will be first examined for suitability to one of the higher degree programmes of the Institute. Such candidates may first be admitted to the M.E./M.Phil. programmes offered by the Institute subject to the eligibility conditions.
