The Orchid School was commenced in the year 2005 and started by Pradnya Niketan Education Society.It is an English medium co-educational school which is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. It creates lifelong learners and also responsible citizens of tomorrow. This school have improved the standard of education. 

The Orchid School Admissions

Admission is open to all children irrespective of race, nationality, religion, caste or gender.
Only 35 children per class, per division.
Sibling (only directly related ones) will be given preference when a seat is vacant.
The child needs to fulfill age criteria as stipulated by the School Managing Committee and ratified upon.
Foreign nationals need to secure appropriate Visa / Resident permit and submit relevant documents at the time of admission.
Special provisions available for admission of children who come to India on short term visit by completing admission formalities and payment of necessary fees or with special considerations through the school managing committee. (Only applicable for classes which have vacancy for admissions)
No admissions after 31st December 2013for current academic year
Registration form is valid for one academic year only.
Wait listed students are called for admission process only if there is a vacancy created any time throughout the year.
Admission process is carried out and entrance tests conducted for the following subjects for different class levels.

No entrance test for class Nursery to Senior K.G. Only Family Meet,
STD I: Simple conversation to test comprehension and concepts.
STD II, III & IV: Written test for Mathematics & English
STD V to VII: Written test for Mathematics, English & Hindi
STD IX & X: Written test for Mathematics, English & Hindi/ Marathi

Children with special learning needs, abilities and challenges will be evaluated on case to case basis.
The child must get minimum passing marks to obtain admission in the class for which application is made.
If the child fails to clear the entrance test (due to fear, phobia or known trauma of previous school experience), the child may be evaluated on one to one basis to see his / her readiness for the class and decision made accordingly.
The school managing committee’s decision is final in this regard.
Family meet: This is a compulsory part of the process. There is no formal interview for the parents. However both the school authorities and the parents may use this opportunity to ask questions, clarify doubts and queries get to know each other.
 
Procedure For Admission
REGISTRATION FORM

Registration Forms will be available ON-LINE on this website.
After you complete the REGISTRATION and "SUBMIT", you will receive the completed form by e-mail (in .pdf format) on the e-mail addresses you have filled in the application. Print TWO copies: one for submission to the school and the other for your own reference.     
You will receive a response regarding the availability status maximum within 3 working days.     
In case you do not hear from us due to technical reasons, please contact the office and speak to Ms. Gauri Gokhale:- 020-65007681/66202702.
You will get a family meet and entrance test (If applicable) appointment from the school
After you hear from us, you must confirm the same with the front office.  Then visit the school office on the given appointment, fill up the admission form, attend the family meet and the entrance test. The results are declared to the parents by telephonic conversation within 3 working days.
Admission form Fee is Rs. 500/- to be paid at school office, filled and duly signed by parents. This document is required for Government Records.
Bring all necessary documents for completing the form.     
Refer to the list given above for the documents needed for admission.     
If you do not attend the given appointment, its stands cancelled.
If you are not a resident of Pune, you can go ahead with the registration process, but the further admission process takes place as and when you come to school (Admissions given as per availability of seats).
