The Central Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students is aimed at providing assistance to students from low income families to meet their daily expenses during the course of study.
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of senior secondary examination results. The total number of scholarships awarded will be divided among students of state boards in the age demography of 18 to 28 years of age. Around 50 percent of the scholarships are earmarked for girl students. State Board would distribute scholarships in the ratio of 3:2:1 among passouts of Science, Commerce and Humanities stream.
1.Student should have scored 80 percent marks in Class 12 exam.
2.Should be an Indian National.
3.Should have scored total aggregate marks in the first five subjects.
4.Minimum total aggregate marks for other categories.
•Merit list of deserving students will be drawn by the examining body taking into account the income of parents.
•Letters will be sent to students featuring in the merit list to confirm their acceptance of the scholarship.
•Applicants who do not apply within 30 days of receiving the letter will not be considered for scholarship.
•Entitlement Card and Income affidavit form and Statement form will be sent to students who are shortlisted.
•Shortlisted scholars are required to submit this document to the Head of the institution.
•The Head of Institution will send these documents to the concerned education authority.
Amount of Scholarship :-
•Rs 1000 per month at graduation level for the first three years and Rs 2000 for students pursuing post graduation.
•Students pursuing professional courses will be given Rs 2000 in the fourth and fifth year of study.
•The scholarship will be paid for ten months in the academic year.
How to Apply:-
1.First check the eligibility criteria carefully.
2.If so fill in the details in the sample format.
3.Get your bank details verified.
4.Fill in the application form online.
5.Take a printout of the online application form, joining report, income affidavit
6.Get the joining report verified by the head of the institution
7.Get the Income affidavit on non judicial stamp paper of Rs 10/- duly verified by a notary, first class executive magistrate/revenue officer.
8.These need to be sent to the address mentioned in the notification.
